Protecting your Home While on Medicaid

Approval for Medicaid is absolutely possible while the Medicaid applicant owns his or her own home. A home under a certain value is an exempt asset and is not counted for Medicaid eligibility purposes when the Medicaid recipient is either residing there or “intends to return” to their home. Click here to learn why it is very important to protect your home either before or even when receiving Medicaid benefits, so that your loved ones don’t make a catastrophic discovery once it is too late.
