During this call, we talk about the specific bills they would like to pay, including the amounts and details for each bill. We also discuss which bills can be set up for recurring monthly payments to simplify the process. This allows us to set everything up in advance to avoid any issues and ensure a smoother experience for our clients. We will take the time necessary to ensure they are comfortable with the process and feel confident moving forward.

Almost all payments go into our larger biller network, ensuring they are paid electronically the next day. For payments that require a check, we send them from our office, and they typically reach their destination within 2-3 days—unlike other trusts that use banks that send checks from out-of-state facilities that can take 7-10 days. We also offer direct deposit for any payment; all we need is a short form filled out with some banking information. Additionally, we'll pay bills for up to 90 days following a member’s passing.
When an attorney or client requests flexibility due to special circumstances, we recognize that some clients may face financial challenges. To support those experiencing difficulties, we are willing to reduce or waive our enrollment fee and/or offer discounts on our monthly fees in certain situations. Our debit card can only be used for living expenses in a manner similar to spending money held in the trust. It is restricted from use in all other places. This feature allows clients to use their funds more independently, especially if they do not have their own credit cards. KTS can easily load the debit card using the clients' funds from their trust accounts.
